Eleni Zisimatos is a Canadian poet, born and raised in Montreal. With a background in Medieval literature, her work ranges from experimental to lyrical, with an emphasis on loss and spirituality. She has been a finalist in the Santa Fe Writer’s competition and the Irving Layton Award for her fiction. In 2002 she was nominated for a National Magazine Award for poetry and has published widely in Canadian, UK, and US journals. She is Editor-in-Chief of Vallum, along with Joshua Auerbach, and is Vice-president of VSFAALE. She lives in Montreal with her son.
